Franchesca Bloodmarch is going to become a paladin.&#38;nbsp;

She’s going to join up with a gang of adventurers and see the world. She’s going to get in a lot of fights and flirt with a lot of people. She’s going to uncover a cool magical sword, fight an epic battle with the bad guy, and she’s going to win.&#38;nbsp;

About Bloodmarch

In May 2020, my friends and I started a new, fully-remote Dungeons &#38;amp; Dragons campaign (Curse of Strahd, if you’re curious), and I created Franchesca Bloodmarch. She checks all the right RPG boxes for me—big, good, not too smart, kind of slutty, hits hard and does a bit of magic. Just what I like. I adored her. 

At this point, my social life centered around this one weekly D&#38;amp;D session, and I poured all my pandemic-bound mental, emotional, and social energy into Franchesca. But eventually, just thinking really hard about her was no longer enough. I needed to draw pictures of Franchesca.

So I did. And here is the result! I adored working on this project. It was a delight from start to finish, and it taught me that making work primarily for myself isn't an artistic dead end. Thank you for reading it.

		<description>Finding Forest Park: A Seek and Find BookBuilding off of the artwork created for the Missouri History Museum’s Forest Park at 150 mural, author Amanda Clark and I created this companion children’s book of seasonal scenes in Forest Park.&#38;nbsp;Finding Forest Park brings St. Louis’s favorite green space to life for explorers ages three to seven. Readers will experience all kinds of moments from the park’s history, from the 1904 World’s Fair to modern-day trips to the zoo. Along the way, children will hunt for objects as they learn how one of America’s great city parks took shape. Playful illustrations combine different eras with different seasons, and fun facts turn history into a game of discovery. Finding Forest Park is a dynamic mix of seek-and-find, picture book, and history adventure that bridges generations by introducing kids to the park’s beloved traditions and celebrating all there is to see and do.

		<description>Yours Forever: Forest Park at 150 mural wall

In spring 2025, I won a bid to create an illustrated wall treatment for the Missouri History Museum’s forthcoming exhibit, “Yours Forever: Forest Park at 150,” celebrating St. Louis’s largest urban park. 


The museum wanted a hybrid park map / visual timeline representing iconic park landscapes, structures, and diverse
scenes of people enjoying the park from the Victorian age through modern times.
The illustration was printed on wallpaper and installed on the outward-facing
wall of the exhibit space. Here are some stats:
the final illustration measures 24’ 8” x 33’ 5”
it covers 733 sq. ft. of wall space
there are 203 people in it, scaled at 10” tall
In June 2026, the Missouri History Museum released a companion children’s book, written by exhibit historian Amanda Clark and illustrated &#38;amp; designed by me!
